Here is where we get into the heart and soul of an EV. Our drive trains are specifically designed to connect directly to a standard rear-end with a higher than standard differential ratio. By shaving the weight of the transmission, we increase reliability and conversion of power directly to the tires, while reducing weight substantially.

The default drivetrain we use in our vehicles consists of the following components:

• Frame/Chassis - A Bob Eyler designed and built box steel frame with Mustang II front end and 9" 6.5:1 ratio rear. This is a rear wheel drive train with the motor in front. We can build the same vehicle on a brand new VW pan and the smaller motor, making the vehicle even lighter and less expensive.
• Body - A Bob Eyler designed and built light-weight fiberglass customized VW bug.
• Motor - An 11" GE style DC electric motor that weighs approximately 200lbs and produces well over 200HP peak is what we've put in our prototype vehicle. The amount of power this motor will produce is equivelent to a small block v8, for 1/5th the running costs. Want something a little more tame? We also build them with 9" motors which increases effeciency and reduces mass thereby increasing range. The 9" motor still produces a lot of power and is plenty for the daily driver.
• Controller - A proprietary (rEVolution ™) PWM speed controller with smart battery monitoring, generator management, external fault, 7 user inputs, accessory and primary drive, efficient and programmable with more technology than you can shake a stick at.
• Battery - We use 96v-144v / 100Ah (60Ah, or 40Ah) LiFePO4 packs with battery management boards in all of our vehicles. They are safe and environmentally kind, while offering many of the same benefits of a Lead Acid battery without all of the toxic material and weight. Range on vehicles with 11" motor is significant, but give up the "small block V8" for the more tame 9" motor and extend this range another 15% under normal conditions.
• Charger - A standard 20 Amp charger designed specifically for the battery packs we use. Charge time from a complete discharge is approximately 5 hours and with the proprietary system, a generator set can be managed to extend your vehicle range to hundreds of miles on a charge with just a little fuel. Additionally, this fuel can easily be propane or natural gas.
